The Weinberg House Organ/Py-O-My Letter was started by Louis Weinberg Jr. in 1952. He sent the mimeographed newsletter by U.S. mail until his death in 1967. Tom Weinberg has been sending it electronically every month since January 2014. It started with fewer than 100 friends and now in seen by ~400 personal and professional friends on the first day of every month.

Fourth-generation Chicagoan Tom Weinberg has spanned the evolution of video innovation from Portapaks to online digital archiving: co-founder of TVTV in 1972; independent documentary/studio producer of 500+ TV programs including THE 90’s, national PBS series; founder, Media Burn Independent Video Archive (mediaburn.org) which has more than 20 million views. He was an adjunct professor at Columbia College and Loyola University Chicago for 12 years. His first book “Chasing the Lost City: Chronicles of Discovery in Honduras” was published in 2017.
